About ALC
Founded in 1994. Over 45,000 graduates. A language education network built on results.
Our Story
American Learning Center was founded in 1994 as a subdivision of the American Councils for International Education. From a single center in Chișinău, ALC has grown into a regional network with centers in Moldova and Georgia.
For over 30 years, our mission has remained the same: deliver language education that produces real, measurable results. Not just grammar rules and textbook exercises — but the ability to communicate with confidence in real situations.
Our learners include students preparing for international universities, professionals advancing their careers, companies training global teams, and individuals learning a new language for the first time.
What We Stand For
Results First
We measure success by outcomes — exam scores, job promotions, university acceptances. Our 100% exam pass rate over seven consecutive years speaks for itself.
Small Groups
Maximum 8–10 students per group. Not because it's a selling point — because it's the only way to give every learner the attention and speaking time they need to actually improve.
Real Communication
Our curriculum is built around real situations — meetings, presentations, travel, exams, daily life. Students leave able to use the language, not just describe its rules.
Our Network
Each ALC center operates independently, tailored to its local community — while sharing the same standards, curriculum framework, and commitment to quality.
